Kollywood : Kanthaswamy may not be out in July -June 2009

Speculations about the release of Kanthaswamy have been going on ever since the film hit the floors. This bilingual has caught the attention of film critics, movie buffs and fans for the novel ideas used during the film launch and audio release.

There has been buzz in Kollywood that Kanthaswamy is due for release in the month of July raising the spirits of Vikram’s fans. However, the movie has been delayed yet again and the release date has been pushed off to August. Sources say that Kanthaswamy, being a super hero subject, requires a lot of computer graphics and the team is working on it.

Kollywood : Jayam Ravi back to his winning combination - June 2009

While Jayam Ravi is enjoying his marital bliss, his brother director Raja has bought the remake rights of Telugu super hit Kick to keep his actor brother’s diary full for the next couple of years. The winning combination is all set to start work soon. Meanwhile, there was a talk in the industry that Raja was considering Madhavan for the lead role in Kick which is all about a young man who is constantly chasing some kind of challenges in his life. But it is confirmed now that Ravi will play the lead role in Kick.

Raja’s Kick will have his signature style romance, action and sentiment amalgamated in right proportion. The next release of Ravi would be Jananathan’s Peranmai after which he is likely to work with Ameer in Kannabiran. So Kick may kick start after these commitments of Ravi. Good luck to the team!

Bollywood : London wants to call SRK – Dr SRK -June 2009

Bollywood Baadshah SRK is all set to become Dr-SRK as Britain’s University of Bedforshire are planning to award him an honorary doctorate in arts and culture.

The hot actor from India, was nominated by NGO Routes to Roots for his first ever doctorate.

Reacting on the news, SRK says, “I am delighted that Routes to Roots nominated me for the honorary doctorate in arts and culture from the Bedfordshire University, Britain, and it will be my pleasure to receive it personally July 10 in London.”
A spokesperson from Routes to Roots says, “Shah Rukh Khan was selected by us after careful study since he has his head and heart at the right place in spite of being crowned the king of Bollywood. The superstar has done immense work for the underprivileged and downtrodden and has always come forward for charities in case of natural disasters.”

“Indian students at the university would love to have the youth icon Shah Rukh to be a fellow alumni once he receives his doctorate.”

Kollywood : A new addition to Endhiran -June 2009

Kavi Perarasu’s son Madan Gargi who is a talented poet will soon descend on the Kollywood horizon in a spectacular way. He will be penning a duet song for the Super star and Aishwarya Rai in Endhiran which is being directed by Shankar. While all other songs are being written by Vairamuthu, Madan will be responsible for this important number that is to be picturized on the lead pair.
