Ram Gopal Varma is the director cum producer for trilingual Indian film Raktha Charitram. The release of this movie starring Surya in the lead role in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi has been postponed from November 26 to 3rd December 2010. ‘The movie has been certified with ‘A’ certificate. 'There are 3 cuts in the film due to violent scenes’, said censor board officials. The total duration of the film is said to last for about 5 hours and the film will be divided into two parts, which will be releasing within two or three months gap. The role of political leader Paritala Ravindra is played by Vivek Oberoi, with Surya enacting the role of Maddelacheruvu Suri, Shatrughan Sinha, playing N. T. Rama Rao, Radhika Apte and Priyamani in other important roles.
“‘Raktha Charitram’ is not an absolute true story, but an absolute depiction of a true story. I am saying these things mainly because I was not personally present at the time the events took place. Most of the people who participated in the events or who witnessed it have died and the remaining few who are still alive have spoken extensively about the incidents. From these interactions, I have come to my own conclusions about the absolute truths objectively without any personal bias,” says Ram Gopal Varma in his blog.
